SAM

this is sam....

don't you just LOVE that face??

sam was definitely the wild child of the group. he hardly ever went to class, except for kitchen. he was in every rotation so he could get a "yummy yummy"...little stink. sam was always causing trouble. it was our head teachers full time job to watch him while we taught. however, he was one of the smartest kids in our class. he knew english really well and could communicate with you (only when he wanted to) sam comes from a weathly family who spoils him rotten. (his parents even spoiled us one night to a free dinner...we just happened to be in the same restaurant as them!) we could tell from day one that sam was special and would need more attention from us than any other student. he drove us all crazy sometimes, but you just can't help but fall in love with this kid. love him

ketchup

i know i've been falling behind in the blogging world. so here is a little game i like to call catch up......
so i'm finally all moved into my apartment back in ventana and i absolutely love it! i'm back with bri ( my roommate from last year), a girl that bri knows from their UVU dance team, and sydney from cali. we got our apartment decorated pretty quick and it looks awesome. everytime people come over we always get the compliment on how "homey" our apartment is. so here's a few pictures of what we did....
my project over labor day was to cover up my old ikea pillows! thanks to mom and candice for helping out on this project.
love em!

our couches are hideous. plain and simple. so we decided to cover them up this year
2 fitted king size sheets = the whole middle section of the couch
1 queen sheet = cut into 1/4 for the arms of the two couches
and wa-lah! new, beautiful, cleanable, couches!
we wanted to try something different in our apt, so we covered 2 of the smaller walls with wrapping paper. it looks pretty legit! we love our place!
i still plan on doing a post for each one of my kids...they won't be all at the same time. most likely they'll just be a random post. i miss them like crazy...i wish i could have brought them all home with me!
be patient (to the 3 that read this blog) i'm still working on learning how to blog....more to come!

Tommy

tommy was one of the sweetest kids! he was a sly little fellow who was always up to something. he was also in the group with all boys (hunter, eric, evan, jack, leo...) that was a handful! however, this little boy LOVED to hug us. he was always crawling into our laps and holding our faces and looking deep into our eyes. tommy even attempted a few kisses every now and then AND whenever we would feel a little pinch on the bum, we would turn around to find this little face grinning up at you! tommy. love him

he was one of my pirates...he was practicing his mean face

paiger daiger

today brandy called me and invited me to come outside and play with the kiddos in the sprinklers. i snapped a few pictures (on my cell phone...not the best quality) of paige with her killer tan and dora sunglasses. she loved the photo shoot!

maggie

ohhhhh maggie...
where to start :)

this little girl was so cute. for some reason she reminded me of one of Jim Hensens "Muppets!" Since maggie was one of the younger students...she didn't know too much english. It took me by surprise, the very first day we taught class, when i asked maggie if she wanted a piece of paper. Since maggie was pretty short, the only thing you could see of her at the table were her little eyes peeking up at you...and when her little growly voice grumbled "i want a piece of paper" i couldn't help but giggle a little. She ALWAYS kept a straight face...it was funny when any of us tried to tickle her, she would just glare at us and walk away. By the end of the semester she seemed to warm up, but only a little bit! :)
love this girl
