my {daily} bread

this semester I'm taking the most amazing institute class...
{the gospel and the productive life}
this class has been amazing. we've only met 3 times so far, and I am in love. The class in a nutshell has given me hope and motivation to carry on in such a pathetic world. I can't wait to see what the rest of the semester brings!
Last week our teacher, Brother Healey (who is a dentist...and LOVES that I've been working hard at becoming a dental hygienist), showed us a video from Elder Busche. It totally hit home to me and I've watched it at least once, or twice, or maybe I've lost count, daily.

bring it on 2011...you've been off to a rocky start so far, but like my wonderful mother has told me several times....(in these words..ish) "in the end, everything will be ok. if things aren't ok, then it isn't the end!"
also...i'd like to give a little shout out to cori connors. for those of you who don't know her..that's ok. She's a singer/song writer, is friends with my mom, and is incredible. Her music has powerful lyrics. one of my favorite songs that she sings is called Broken. LOVE it. favorite line out of the whole song...

you won't believe this, but someday you'll see this...and be thankful it happened this way

can't wait to see what the future holds, even if it doesn't play out like i would hope it would in my perfect little world. and maybe my knight-in-shining-armor has to fall off his white horse before he maybe/hopefully/possibly gets to me. but we won't name names :)

New years eve was super low key this year...but it was perfect!
Matt, Trents roommate, invited us to his parents house up in Draper for new years eve. It was just a small group of us, but we enjoyed playing rockband, pool, a type of pool game called crud, and watching the ball drop! and i was brave enough to take my camera...so here are a few pictures!
